I shot awake and grabbed my friend, who heard this with me. My friends were asleep and I was dozing off in our small tent when I suddenly heard heavy footsteps just inches from my head right outside the tent. I'm not entirely convinced this is related to our UFO experience, but that night we had a creepy experience. Whatever we saw was quite literally was an object, flying, and totally unidentifiable by our understanding of the world. My friends and I all had this very intense and eerie feeling that we had seen something that we weren't supposed to. This shook my world and i had the most intense goosebumps the entire time. It was literally skipping and teleporting. We were absolutely blown away as we watched this go on for about 20 minutes until it eventually disappeared on the other side of the horizon. It looked as if it was teleporting or moving so fast in different directions that the human eye couldn't catch it. This glowing light started to skip and dart around in any direction. It was slowly moving across the sky and we initially thought it could be a plane, satellite, or drone of some sort. It looked like a star but closer and more of a glow around it. At some point we saw a glowing white light come over the horizon. You can see so much of the stars in that park. That night we were sitting on a rock and stargazing. We are three girls, all in our early twenties who honestly had no previous interest in anything UFO related. There were no other campers at the parking lot and we climbed up high and didn't see any sign of human life for miles.

We hiked a few miles out and were totally alone. I was backcountry camping with two of my close friends in the park. I'd love to share my story and see if anyone else has experienced anything similar or has any sort of rational explanation of what we saw. Hey people! I went to the Badlands National park on and had my first and only UFO experience that shook my world.
